Mary Magdalene was the first to see Christ's empty tomb. Discover her true story and powerful rituals.

On July 22nd, the Catholic Church celebrates Mary Magdalene’s Day. This date was established in her honor in 2016 at the request of Pope Francis. The reason is to recognize the apostle of the apostles, as her presence alongside Jesus and her deep Christian devotion were instrumental in spreading divine love. So, come and learn more about Mary Magdalene’s story and the powerful rituals associated with her.

Mary Magdalene appears beside Jesus Christ in significant moments throughout the Bible. In Chapter 7 of the Gospel of Luke, there is a passage that appears across all the gospels. In it, a woman comes to anoint Jesus. According to the passage, she is a woman from the city, a sinner, who anoints Jesus’ feet—an act that reveals deep repentance and love. The scriptures also show that Mary Magdalene was present at the foot of the cross with the Virgin Mary during the crucifixion.

In the Gospels of John, Luke, Matthew, and Mark, Magdalene is described as the first witness of Christ’s resurrection. The scriptures say she was the first to see the resurrected Jesus, shortly after discovering His empty tomb. The gospels unanimously affirm that Mary Magdalene remained at the cross during Jesus’ crucifixion and returned to His tomb on Sunday morning.

Mary Magdalene’s Rituals

To Ask for Strength and Wisdom

Begin by lighting a seven-day red candle. Place it in a vase next to two fully opened red roses. Then, scatter the petals of a pink rose around the candle. Focus your energy and light the candle. During this process, visualize your request for the wisdom, strength, and power of Mary Magdalene.

Mary Magdalene’s Bath

Start by boiling one and a half liters of water. Add three bay leaves and boil for three minutes. Then, add dried sage leaves and boil for another two minutes. Turn off the heat, add the petals of a red rose, and cover the pot for 20 minutes. Once the water has cooled to a lukewarm temperature, strain it. Pour the remaining water back into the pot. After taking your regular bath, pour this water with red petals over your head, visualizing wisdom, strength, and power.
